NIFT 2024 Study Material:

The first part is the General Ability Test (GAT) and will be given 30% weightage of the entire NIFT admission process. The NIFT GAT section will test you on your logical aptitude and reasoning skills. The broad areas for GAT are English Language, Mathematics (till class X), Analytical and Verbal Reasoning and Fashion GK and current affairs – details to follow. The second part is the major chunk of the NIFT entrance process, the Creative Ability Test (CAT). This will be given 50% weightage in the NIFT entrance process and will test a student’s ability to visualise, ideate and design based on principles of design. Once you clear the GAT and the CAT, you will be shortlisted for a Situation Test (20% weightage). The NIFT Situation test will test a candidate’s ability to work with material and design 3D models based on a theme. Once all these rounds are completed, a student will get his/her NIFT entrance rank. The higher the rank, the better choice of NIFT location and NIFT course. Eg: AIR 1 to 30 will get Nift Delhi, Fashion Design + any other NIFT campus or course he/she wishes to attend.
