Month 1 – Learn in the first half

Spend the first fortnight on covering the full syllabus. With merely two months in hand candidates must double their efforts for best results. They should study to cover more topics and assign more time to their study.

Find out the questions most likely to appear in the exam. And then begin with an easy topic of your choice from which many questions are expected. This will boost your morale. Intelligent and smart study very crucial when you have little time at hand.

At least three sections should be covered every day. Allot time according to your potential and efficiency of understanding. But make sure you dedicate at least a couple of hours to each section. In the first three days, a candidate must cover at least thirty per cent of the syllabus along with revision at the end of the day for better retention of what has been studied.

Sounds tough? Do not lose heart!  Devise your plans. CLAT is more of a test designed for time management vis-à-vis knowledge. The major chunk of the syllabus has been covered till class 10 and is therefore not tough for candidates.

Cover around 80 % of the syllabus within ten days and the pending difficult topics should be completed in the remaining five days. Aspirants must focus exclusively on the topics that are frequently raised in the examination.

Keep this time only for covering the syllabus. If you cover your syllabus within this stipulated time-frame, you can graduate to the next level.

Month 1 – Revise in the second half

The second level or the second half of the first month is meant for revision. Revise the entire syllabus through the online and offline methods. The revision will be done within two weeks by students with average IQ and it can take up to three weeks for weak candidates. But please, do not be in a tearing hurry to complete your revision. Pay full attention and study sincerely. Keep yourself updated with the pattern and other sorts of notifications. Give ample time to General Knowledge and Legal Knowledge questions every day. These cannot be crammed in just one day. Surf the internet to gather relevant information about the examination.

This is the best phase to start taking daily sectional tests to discover your flaws and Achilles heel. Save the full-length tests for the end. The moment you become certain about completing the revision and covering the syllabus, it is time for you to shift to the final step.

Month 2  – Practice

Final step concerns practice. Remember, practice makes one perfect. Practice as much as you can. Usually, candidates wrap up their revision job within four weeks of the first month. They should start practice from that day and take mock tests. Try tests online as the examination is conducted online. It will prepare and comfort you for the final examination. The more you practice the more speed and proficiency you will acquire for solving these questions. This is the period when you will discover the best strategy for attempting the exam. The strategy includes multiple aspects to explore. Decide the section to be attempted first. Then follow it with the type of questions to be attempted in a particular section. Proceed to decide the time to be spent on a particular question and on each section. Finally, take a call on the kind of questions to skip and keep them aside for consideration after you have finished attempting the ones of your choice. Come back to tackle the pending ones in the remaining time. See how much can cover here.

You must be wondering why it is important to discover on your own when the best ways of attempting the examination are already published on the internet by toppers and law experts. The truth is that every candidate is unique. So the candidate should discover it in his special way.

Follow these guidelines honestly, if you want to pack in a lot during the last two months and set the ball rolling.  The result will come as a pleasant surprise to you.

All the best!
