GRE Private Tutoring
Whether you are planning for graduate school or business school or you are taking an important step toward your future, it is a smart move to show schools your best and that is accomplished by taking the GRE. The GRE is a critical test for you to consider before you start applying to grad school in the US or Europe or Canada or even Australia.. Let’s get one thing straight up front.. THE GMAT is used for MBA programs while the GRE is used for all other graduate programs. Increasingly MBA programs have started accepting the GRE in lieu of the GMAT. So this is intact a great test to take.
The GRE revised General Test is the only admissions test for graduate or business school that lets you skip questions within a section, go back and change answers, and have control to tackle the questions within a section you want to answer first.
The GRE revised General Test features question types that closely reflect the kind of thinking you’ll do in graduate or business school.
  • VERBAL REASONING: Measures your ability to analyze and evaluate written material and synthesize information obtained from it, analyze relationships among component parts of sentences and recognize relationships among words and concepts.
  • QUANTITATIVE REASONING: Measures problem-solving ability using basic concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis.
  • ANALYTICAL WRITING: Measures critical thinking and analytical writing skills, specifically your ability to articulate and support complex ideas clearly and effectively.

What is the format of the exam?
  • AWA Essay 1: 30 min
  • AWA Essay 2: 30 min
  • Verbal (30 min) or Math (35 min) or Experimental
  • Verbal (30 min) or Math (35 min) or Experimental
  • Verbal (30 min) or Math (35 min) or Experimental
  • Verbal (30 min) or Math (35 min) or Experimental
  • Verbal (30 min) or Math (35 min) or Experimental

On the GRE, you will always get two scored Math sections, two scored Verbal sections, and one Experimental (unscored Math or Verbal) section, but the order varies. You can get two math or two verbal sections in a row. Conceivably, with the experimental section, you could get three of the same type of section, though, based on raw probability, this would not be very likely to happen.

The Verbal and Math sections will have 20 questions each if you are taking the computer-based exam.

If you’re taking the paper-based exam, it will be 25 questions per section.
