The NIFT Entrance Exam is the premier gateway for fashion education in India. For B.Des aspirants, the selection process is divided into the written exams (CAT & GAT) followed by the practical Situation Test.

Tests intuitive ability, power of observation in concept development, and design ability. Marks are awarded for creative use of color and illustration skills.
Part of the GAT paper. It tests speed and accuracy in solving mathematical problems based on 10th-grade arithmetic.
Evaluates the candidate's proficiency in day-to-day English communication. It focuses on grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.
Tests the ability to infer logic from data and apply it to solve problems. This section includes both verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
The second stage of the exam. Candidates must create a 3D model using given materials to test material handling and innovative skills.
