RGNUL Admission Date 2023

CLAT exam is conducted in the 2nd week of May and results are declared somewhere between the last week of May or 1st week of June.

Admission dates:

1. Admission process for UG and PG (BA.LLB & LLM) starts in the 1st week of June and ends in the first week of July.
2. The admission process for Ph.D. starts in the first week of May.

About RGNUL – Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) is a law school situated in Patiala, in the state of Punjab, India. It was established in the year 2006. It is UGC, BCI, and NAAC-A accredited. The university offers UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses. The curriculum is evenly spread throughout the semesters making it easy to understand the subjects in depth. The faculty and staff are helpful, experienced, and knowledgeable. The infrastructure and hostel facilities are excellent. RGNUL Application Form

RGNUL selects students based on the CLAT school. Download and fill the application form. The CLAT application form costs INR 4000 and INR 3500 for some students.

Download and fill the admission form that is available on the official website of RGNUL. Make a demand draft of INR 1000 (INR 700 for some students) in favor of the university. Submit both money and admission form to the university.

Eligibility Criteria For RGNUL

1. UG course

BA.LLB is a five-year integrated course and a total of 180 seats are allotted for this course. The student must have scored a minimum of 45% (or equivalent grade) to qualify for the admission process. SC/ST students are provided 5% relaxation. The student needs to score the specified cut-off and get good rank to sit for the admission process.

2. PG course

LLM is a two-year course, and 40 seats are allotted for the same. The student is expected to have scored a minimum of 55% in their UG course (50% for SC/ST). The student must have cleared the CLAT exam with a good score.

3. PhD

The candidate must have completed a master’s degree in Law field. The university conducts an entrance exam. After clearing the exam, the students have to sit for an interview. Based on the interview score and screening test marks, seats are allotted.

RGNUL Application Form & Fee

The admission process for UG and PG courses are based on the performance of the student in the CLAT exam. The application form is available on the internet. The online application form is available in the 1st week of January. The last date for filling the application form is in March. The CLAT application form costs around INR 4000. For Ph.D., the university conducts an exam of its own. Students are selected based on the score and asked to come for the next round (personal interview).

RGNUL Result & Merit List

The provisional and final answer key is given in May. The results are announced in the last week of May or 1st week of June. The scorecard is given out during this period. The merit list, counseling, and seat allotment start in June and till July. The counseling starts for UG PG courses in June. Merit list is prepared based on the score, rank, and category of the student. For Ph.D. courses, the merit list is prepared by the university itself.

RGNUL Admission 2023 Fee

Based on the performance in the interview, admission is given.

Fee structure:

1. UG course

BA.LLB is a five-year integrated course. The fee for this 5-year course is around INR 8 lacs. Only 180 seats are allotted for this course.

2. PG course

LLM is a two-year course. The total fee for this PG course is around INR 1,30,000. Only 40 seats are allotted for this course.

3. Ph.D.:

The annual cost of this course is INR 50,000.

How to Apply:

1. If you are a UG student:

a) Score at least 45% in your 12th board exams or equivalent grade.
b) Download and fill the CLAT form and pay INR 4000 (INR 3500 for SC/ST category).
c) Ace the test with a good score and clear the cut-off.
d) After results and merit list has been released, the college admission starts in June and July.

2. If you are a PG student:

a) Score at least 50% equivalent grade in UG semesters.

3. If you want to do a Ph.D. from RGNUL:

You must have specialized in subjects like Law, English, history, or social science. Fill the admission form on the official website of RGNUL. Along with the form, make a demand draft of INR 1000 to attach with it (INR 700 for SC/ST candidates).
